Our research group specializes in computational biology, focusing on the analysis of bacterial pangenomes and the dynamics of bacteria-bacteriophage interactions, including the competition between phages. A core line of our work is the study and evolution of bacterial defense systems, with a particular emphasis on CRISPR-Cas.

Additionally, we apply advanced bioinformatics to the analysis of protein and genomic sequences linked to human diseases.
